As the first demo was entitled "Dream of Dark Hour" the second full album by Nightly Gale should have a subtitle "Nightmare of dark hour". Athmosphere of daydreams, sleepy wanderings in "slow motion" among desolate corners of the soul requires a lot of concentration, for the music is multi layered an multi threaded. The Musician's fascination on progressive rock music is obvious.

The album starts with a soft intro, both rhythm and melody seem "disrupted", they come nearer and soon become a voice from afar only, as it is in a dream/nightmare...

The very first guitar tune leaves no doubt that we have still to deal with doom metal here. It crushes formly with heaviness, the feeling of being suffocating is present all time, full of fear and inquietude.

This even becomes intensified when voices are heard for the first time: unearthly, haunting chants, one is not sure if it is a human female or male voice. then we hear Slawek's voice, a huge improvement here, it is still the unique sort of laziness, laconic tune, but it appears very pleasantyl to me. Then there are traces of dirty, raspy singing heard by some jazz vocalists.

A well known element is Waldemar's screaming, here in various intesities from deep almost death metal growling to change into a creepy shrieking

The electronica has been reduced a bit, the still programmed drums beat relatively simply rhythm without any sensational fills, a loud machine-gun-like beat is followed by almost total silence filled with tibetan samples. The four tracks seem to be slowed down as far as it is imaginable in this kind of music.
